It was a mysterious occurrence; a stationary figure standing in the middle of the road, feet planted firmly on the line which divided the two sides of the road. Cars passed by the person swiftly, the drivers not bothering to stop and ask why exactly she was in the street. The figure didn’t seem to be hot, or even sweaty, even though she was wearing a floor length dress in the midst of a scorching July day. Bobby peered at the girl. Explanations for her odd attire and ongoing activity ran through her head, each idea bumping against the other. Perhaps this was a living statue, attempting a dangerous stunt for attention. (It's been a while since I uploaded something. I've been working on this for a while now; it's the prologue to a novel that I'm trying to write titled Deadly Light and Sweet Dark. I'm still not too sure about how it'll play out, but at least I have the prologue done. And lucky you, I'm slightly better at writing than I am at drawing, so this won't totally suck.
